This evaluation was commissioned by the Policy Research Programme of the Department of Health. It was undertaken by a team of researchers based principally at the University of Edinburgh and the Cancer Screening Evaluation Unit at The Institute of Cancer Research. In order to undertake the work, the evaluation team needed to liaise closely with the Rugby Pilot site of the UK Bowel Cancer Pilot. Nevertheless, this is an independent report, and the findings and recommendations are entirely those of the evaluation team.
