All mammography x-ray systems used in the NHS Breast Screening Programme are subject to regular testing by physicists. This report presents an analysis by the National Coordinating Centre for the Physics of Mammography of one set of results for each of the mammography systems in use in the NHSBSP in 1997.The performance of mammography systems is compared with established standards.
