Guidelines on the collection and use of breast cancer data

Published November 1992 | ISBN 1 87199 746 1 | Archived

The endpoint of the Breast Screening Programme is a reduction in mortality. However, it is important that other performance indicators are also used to evaluate the screening programme. Among these are comparative breast cancer incidence rates in various groups of women in the target population, taking into account the tumour size and stage. This document considers the total female population aged 50 and over.
