Evaluation of Sentinel Sites for HPV Triage and Test of Cure

Following work done in 2001 (PDF 1.84Mb) which showed that introducing HPV triage into the NHSCSP would be feasible, acceptable and cost effective, this study considers the wider roll out of HPV triage at six sentinel sites throughout England.

It also evaluated 'test of cure' for women who had been treated for CIN by performing 'test of cure' cytology on them after at six months. If borderline changes or worse were found, the women were referred to colposcopy. If the cytology were negative, then women were tested for HPV to determine management.
